Prep: 15 minutes
Cook: 6 minutes • Serves: 4
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
4 leftover jelly-filled pączki, cut horizontally in half
8 slices Cheddar-Gruyère cheese
8 slices deli ham
2 large eggs
1/4 cup whole milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter
Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)
1. In small bowl, stir mustard and mayonnaise. Top bottom halves of pączki with cheese and ham; spread ham with mustard mixture and top with top halves of pączki.
2. In wide, shallow dish, whisk eggs and milk.
3. In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Dip both sides of sandwiches in egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off; add to skillet and cook 6 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted, turning once. Makes 4 sandwiches.
