Baked Mac & Cheese Bites

Prep: 25 minutes plus cooling, freezing and standing
Bake: 20 minutes • Serves: 4

1 package (14 ounces) Kraft deluxe original Cheddar mac & cheese
3 tablespoons sliced fresh chives
4 large eggs
2 cups panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
Marinara sauce for serving (optional)
4 Capri Sun strawberry kiwi juice pouches

1.Line 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper so that parchment paper extends over sides of dish; line rimmed baking pan with parchment paper. Prepare mac & cheese as label directs; cool completely. Fold in chives; spread in prepared dish and freeze 1-1/2 hours or until firm. Makes about 4 cups mac & cheese mixture.

2.Preheat oven to 400°. Using overhanging parchment paper, transfer mac & cheese mixture to cutting board; let stand 5 minutes. Cut mac & cheese into 16 (2-1/4-inch) squares.

3.In wide, shallow dish, whisk eggs. In separate wide, shallow dish, stir breadcrumbs and seasoning; whisk flour, salt and pepper in third wide, shallow dish. Dredge squares in flour mixture, shaking off excess, then dip in eggs, allowing excess to drip off, then in breadcrumb mixture to coat; place on prepared pan and bake 20 minutes or until lightly browned and internal temperature reaches 160°, turning once halfway through baking. Makes 16 bites.

4.Serve bites with marinara sauce, if desired, along with juice pouches.
