Line rimmed baking pan with parchment paper. In medium bowl, stir brown sugar, walnuts and 2 tablespoons softened butter.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"recPrep\"><span>2.<\/span>In large bowl, whisk flour and salt. With fingertips or pastry blender, cut in remaining 1\/2 cup cold butter until pea-sized crumbs form; stir in sour cream until mixture forms a ball.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"recPrep\"><span>3.<\/span>On floured dusted work surface, roll dough into 12 x 18-inch rectangle; cut into 6 (6-inch) squares. Place 1 apple in center of each square; fill apples with brown sugar mixture. Fold corners of dough up and around apples, pinching seams to seal; place dumplings, seam side down, on prepared pan.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"recPrep\"><span>4.<\/span>Brush dumplings with milk; sprinkle with granulated sugar.
